Or something like that!

Sick

Thank god for Marie Callender's Pot Pies in the freezer. I have a runny nose and my head feels like a big cottonball.

That's not good :( I hope you feel better soon! Do you have any tea, or can you take a hot shower or something?

I'm thinking maybe a bath. We're watching another hour of TV while our turnovers cook and then heading to the other apartment to stay with Olga. I've been using this cold to be lazy and eat really poorly. We started a new show, called The Glades, like we need another TV show!

Nope, at home :) I'm just using my parents' computer, since my dad's out of town for the weekend (he went up to the cabin to try and kill a deer) and I'm doing a load of laundry. Also, making long posts is difficult on my iPod, since the screen is so small. It's useful for keeping me from going into computer withdrawal, but it's not perfect, you know?

How was your day at work?

Well, since you asked......:lmao:

I finished up my current contract today. I've been project managing a project and we've been in business development phase.
It's been a good assignment. I had a good team and we delivered the requirements definition document, implementation plan and funding requirements about 4 weeks ago (3 weeks ahead of schedule :rolleyes1).

I've been sitting there for the last 4 weeks with NO work and the client was quite happy. We've been trying to get the funding proposal approved by the Chief Finance Officer..it's been working it's way up the chain and it's finally going to get to him...sometime!

But my security and IT access at the client terminates today. So, I've packed up my desk.

If the CFO approves the project for implementation, I go back and I should be there for another year. Problem is the company I work for will not wait indefinitely for the CFO to make up his mind. I figure they have about 1 week's grace before my company will want me to be out at another client and earning more money.

I would prefer to stay on to see the implementation and the client wants me to be there...but somethings can't be helped. They have called my company to let them know; but we'll just have to see how it goes.

My day was all right, I guess. On Wednesday, I got home from work around 8am as always, then finally fell asleep around 9:30am. I had to be up at 10:30 so I could go to the dentist for a follow-up, which consisted of him poking a stick in my mouth and telling me to come back in February :confused3 I didn't get back to sleep until about 2, and then I slept until 8pm. Then I was up until 10:30am Thursday :lmao: I went to bed, woke up around 4:30, and then went grocery shopping with my mom. We also picked up some take-out for dinner, since neither of us felt like cooking. I took a nap for a few hours and then woke up around 1:30am so I could get my work clothes washed for this weekend, since I'm working all weekend and won't have time to do laundry properly until Monday, since I didn't do it yet.

It's easier for me to stay up at work if I stay up on my days off as well. My dad doesn't understand this, though.

But anyway :)

I assume that your dentist was happy'ish? Sounds like February is the standard 6 month checkup point...

Sounds like my boys are home. Dinner is here! We're doing Fish and Chips....I'm starving; it's 8 pm!

Catch you soon...if you're still up. Otherwise see you tomorrow for me; later for you :goodvibes
