YAY for Costco. I'm about to discover the shrimp wonton soup and noodles. My parents were telling me about it yesterday. They bought an 8 pack last week and raved about it. I'm going to have to make a special trip out to get me some.
Interesting...ours came in a six pack. We've had them in the freezer for a while, but they make for a good no fuss dinner. Not by themselves, but with the egg roll, it's pretty good. That's amazing that as far away as we are that we can still have the same thing for dinner!
I'm in the same boat. You two are the only ones that post responses. Polite asking and straight out questions did not help anyone respond to my PTR. But I do know that I have a lot of lurkers.....and a couple of other people from the other games I play have certainly commented about my NOT PTR; so it would seem they read but do not post.
Still, I'm happy with just the two of you. It's like having a semi-private conversation.
You have a couple of Aussies that occasionally respond. I remember when we hijacked your report to talk about wedding cakes and other sweets that we had all experienced!
My difficulty with the suggestion that Dana made of subscribing to other PTRs is that sooooooo many of the people writing them are obsessed with their children, and I mean totally obsessed. Yes Sharon you have a DS and you show pics of him, but your TRs and PTRs were not focused on your DS. So many of the PTRs that I read focus on the kids that I'm just not interested. I'm not against kids, but when it comes to post after post, we're going here because the kids love... and we didn't do this because the kids didn't...I'm trying to find PTRs that aren't annoying! So far no luck!
I guess I lucked out, Sharon yours was the first PTR I ever subscribed to, and it was your wit and sarcasm that drew me in (plus the fact that you were going to stay in Long Beach). If you hadn't come during a weekend when I was planning to go to Anaheim, I might have suggested we meet up, but I think that was my B'Day weekend when I had to go to a funeral on my B'day and we barely made it to check in at the VGC and dinner that night (which the time was changed because of the ^*&$#@ funeral, and I only say that because he should not have died, but that's a whole nother story!)
Anyways, if it's just the three of us on my journey of the trip I'll deal, but I hope that a couple of my other friends join in. It seems that only the ladies are in on the whole PTR thing right?
