We arrived on saturday and the weather has been perfect and the trip incredible. I will post a more extensive report next week after arriving home. But I will say we have encountered NOTHING that would be a negative in my upcoming report. Off to typhoon lagoon today and MK tonight for EMH fun

Enjoy your trip! Sounds like beautiful weather! We fly down tomorrow morning and are so excited! :yay:

We got home last night from an 8 day trip and can say the same. Nothing negative about the entire trip. We even got towel animals again (though I think it was a VERY special circumstance, not a sign they have returned in force)

I can't believe your trip is over already, I read the Disney board on Gymbo and it seems like you just left! That 8 days sure flew by! Glad you had a nice trip!

We had towel animals this past September..is that supposed to be done away with now?

Yes, There was a directive to all Mousekeepers to discontinue making towel animals. Can't remember when but a search here on the Resort thread will find the info.
Even the Mickey Ears folded and placed on the bed were stopped.
They no longer get the supplies either, like stickers, etc.
But, there isn't really any way to stop them from doing them in the rooms, I assume, provided they complete all their assigned tasks on time
This was the first time we got animals in over a year and they were done without supplies (though I don't know if that was by design or if it's just the ones our Mousekeeper could do)

I'm so happy for you all --- and a bit jealous! :) We are taking newbies with us next trip and I'm so hoping they get to see some of the magic that we love there and not only the negative that we see so much posted about on these boards..

We were there from 4-10 through 4-16 and have nothing negative to say either...other than some rainy weather a couple of evenings. Heck, we even got to watch The Force Awakens by the pool one night! That was a nice bonus for us.

There wasn't any stickers on ours. One day there was a pair of extra sunglasses though :) My son loved it!

I'll be a little sad if we don't have the towel animals at CR in December...hopefully DCL does them!

Two trips ago my kids got such a kick out of towel animals, rearranged stuffed animals and their blankie getting "sculpted". Last trip, just a neat tidy room with no silliness. . . Bummer! Hope you have better luck!

We just got back from a 5 day trip. The weather was perfect and we had a lot of pixie dust come our way! I did find the crowds at the MK to be a bit much, and we didn't get on every ride even with 1 full day and 2 half days in the park. No towel animals, but we had our stuff animals arranged almost daily with silly antics!

We just got back from our trip 4/14-4/18 and we had a great time. The first couple days it rained a little bit at times, but we were prepared and still had a lot of fun in the parks. MK was very busy one of the times we went so we just did our 3 FP+ rides and walked around a bit to kill time then bailed, but we go pretty often so it didn't bother us. AK also felt extremely busy the one morning we went there, but we got in the attractions that we wanted to and had a great animal viewing experience on the safari. We saw the SW fireworks for the first time, since we skipped them on our last trip, and we thought that they were wonderful!

My only complaint was with the CS options, especially in MK and DHS, as a few of our favorite items have disappeared, we actually ended up walking to Epcot from DHS to grab food between our FP+s and the fireworks because we couldn't find anything that appealed to us in DHS. We usually go in November and January so we were a little worried about the heat and crowds for this trip, as we went a couple years ago in April while I was attending a conference in Orlando, and it was extremely hot and crowded, but we were both pleasantly surprised that the crowds were mostly manageable, and it was actually cooler than it was for our last November trip.

How is the weather right now in the evenings? The forecast calls for "60's". Has it been cool and breezy?

We leave Saturday!

I wonder if maybe we could talk to mousekeeping the first day and request it? Does the same person clean the room every day? We will only be staying 4 nights on this trip.. I'd be more than willing to offer to pay or tip extra up front.
DCL still does towel animals, and leaves a chocolate on your pillow. Or at least they were last July. Love towel animals!
Yay thanks!
