Here now . . . (June 1-7) VERY hot

Not sure where you got this information, but it's not true. I just looked it up and the high today was 88 with a heat index of 95.

Maybe it was one of those mass hysteria situations at Disney today?

No, weather underground. My husband stayed behind and I called and had him check because it was so hot. Then we got to the car and it said 99 degrees the whole way home. WU was saying it was only high 80s in some areas but Disney/34747 was 96-98.

We're here now - arrived yesterday. This is our first summer trip - in the past, we've been in mid-January or Spring break.

I *hate* the heat. I always have, but developed mild asthma as an adult which gets triggered by it. The fact that (ahem) it's now often warmer exactly where I am than other people right around me helps nothing.

We were at Epcot today. It was definitely hot and muggy. Having said that, we were inside a fair amount, including booking a TS lunch which we've never done at Epcot before. Worked very very well for us to have that time to cool down. We arrived at 8:45 (9a rope drop) and left around 3p.

I did use the Frogg Toggs Dana/bandana for a while. Interestingly, while it wasn't a lot of help outside, it made me cool down much more quickly inside. I think it's too muggy for the evaporation to work well outside. We each took a Thermos of water, so could sip really cold water as we went. We also had the cheap little O2 water fans with the Carabiner clips. I bought them kind of as a joke - but they worked surprisingly well.

We'll be taking all of the above with us the rest of the week - but with them, and a little planning, it's definitely doable. (I'm a little concerned about AK, as we spend less time inside there - but we'll see. As of now, 80% chance of rain.)

Didn't seem bad to me today. The kids didn't even complain when they got home from school ~ nor did they run for the fridge and water (which they often do).

We had a lovely evening outside even with a bunch of kids playing on the playground and not one kid complained about the heat.

We're here now and yes it's hot, but yesterday was almost unbearable at times. I'm from Texas and can deal with high temps but this humidity is rough!

The forecast calls for it to rain pretty heavily the next few days, maybe that will make things a little cooler? It may become more humid though.

I love the heat!!!! I feel so much better when it's warm. The humidity is a little suffocating but I still don't mind it :). I should move to Florida or Arizona! I come from a cold climate and can't stand it.
