I turn to you, my fellow DISers, for help here:

We arrived yesterday, and of course I forgot my bathing suit. Does anyone know where I might purchase one? (We're staying at BWV and do not have a car. I know, I might be out of SOL here.) They have a bikini in the gift shop, but I don't want to scare anyone! :-)

Also, when I ordered my groceries, I forgot to increase the number of water jugs I wanted. I have one measley jug. And I really truly tried to drink the tap water - I just can't do it! Anyone know where I can buy big ol jugs of aqua? We'll have to do it all on foot, but we're more than willing if it's in the general Epcot area.

Thanks, DISers, for your help!!! I'm off to buy some cold medicine, too . . .

I am pretty sure they sell bathing suits at downtown disney. I am not sure about the water though

There's a nice shop in the Yacht Club (not the gift shop--more like a boutique), but I didn't look for bathing suits so I don't know. There's also a boutique-type store at Grand Floridian that you might try.

Downtown Disney has to have a bunch of different styles or stop by one of the water parks. Good luck.:thumbsup2

The shops at the Polynesian used to have some nice ladies bathing suits. Though they have remodeled extensively, so I don't know if they still offer them.

Try the Hess gas station (across the street from the entrance to the BWV) for the water. They might have bulk water there.

I'm probably too late for a suggestion, but there is a store at DTD called Summer Sands on the East side that is a swimwear store. It's right next to Team Mickey.

The General store on the Boardwalk had gallon jugs of water for the same price as the grocery store (we didn't buy enough  )

Bathing suits, (as mentioned) check Summer Sands at DTD. They have really cute suits. Also check over at BC and YC. The Poly used to have a lot of choices, not sure if they still do. DH forgot his one year and got one at the Poly for a reasonable amount :goodvibes

DD forgot her suit last summer. The poly is the only store (after hitting many) that had enough of a selection to find anything that would fit her.

And then there's the rent a car for a day from the Dolphin suggestion, and visit Publix and anywhere you'd like to get a swimsuit.

You could also just take a cab to a nearby Target.

Thank you all SO much for your wonderful suggestions. I have been bragging about my DISers to my extended family for some time, and now they have been able to see for themselves how awesome you guys are. :-)

Thanks again. I'm off to find those water jugs!

good luck with the shopping
have a great stay
