I'm sitting in my room at Carribean Beach Resort as it thunderstorms/ now the pool and thought I would share a few things I learned (observed) in the last few days! I've been to Disney 3 times in the last 12 months so I'm not a newbie. But here are some of my thoughts...

1. FP+: when with a teenage this sure is nice! We didn't get to the parks until mid afternoon and still got to do headliners.
2. Securing additional FP+: LOVE that I can get additional FP+ While walking the queue of our third FP on the app. It works great! We got additional FP as soon as we got in line (scanned in and used the pass). This allowed me to get 4/5 additional passes. It also allowed me to get passes at a different park which was great.
3. Amazon PrimeNow works great. PrimeNow is Amazons 2 hour service. I ordered water and other foods. As of right now they don't have milk or bread but has water, frozen foods, yogurt and other dry foods. I placed my order the day before as you can schedule 24 hours in advance. I placed my order to arrive between 2-4. It arrived closer to the 4pm. We landed at MCO at 1 so I thought 2-4. We were at the hotel by 2 and didn't want to wait so bell service said they would hold it. It was actually delieved to my room and cold stuff placed in fridge. Your first order right now is $10 off and you must order $20. But a case of water was only $4.
5. Swell water bottles- I got a Swell bottle for Christmas and knew it was amazing but proved its value in gold in the Jume Disney heat. I filled them with ice and water and Gatorade and three hours later still had all the ice and the ice lasted thru three refills. Keep us with cold water all day!
5. KT tape - I have major tendon problems with my ankle and decided to try this tape as I heard good things. Wow what a difference. The extra support was just what I needed and had no pains.
6. AK at night is worth the planning but I would do the safari at twilight. We rode at 8 pm and saw so many amimals... Even the spotted hyenas. We rode again at 9:45 and saw very little. You can only see shadows of you see "anything". As our guide said... You get to see the new lighting!!! Lol. Everest at night is a new ride. I like it better at night. We didn't watch Jungle Book but saw parts as we rode Everest as it was going on. Tree of Life was beautiful.
7.And Lastly... Soarin will be amazing with the new show. The screen with the old makes it 100x better and the scents are back and powerful. Lol. We rode in the new C concourse. I'm Excited to see the new show in August!!!

A few days left but so far it's been a great trip!!!

Thanks for the info on the safari. I'm booking FP's tomorrow morning for our August trip and was undecided if I should book late evening or dusk. Enjoy the rest of your trip!

Thanks! So far my hours aren't up yet for AK, but hopefully soon! I have just over a month before I pick my fps.

Thanks for sharing your experience esp with Prime Now as I was planning to use it next weekend.

I booked my fast passes today, and I chose an early safari... Mainly because we've always seen lots of animals on the first or second ride out.
I never even thought to book at dusk.... I just swapped for a 7:40-8-40 window. We have an early Jungle Book after that!!

Thank you!!!

Sounds like you're having a great time!

We had the same experience on the safari. Real sunset was much better than total darkness. Even the "sunset" looked better. We also saw the hyenas around 8.

Enjoy CBR! It's one of my favorites!

Great positive tips, the kind we need more of! I had also read elsewhere to book Safari at dusk, not complete darkness. Kali River Rapids is also great in the dark, and the Florida summer heat.

Thanks for the tips! We're there in September and want to try out PrimeNow and the dusk safari!

Great info!
Glad you're having a magical trip!
We love CBR, stayed there the last five summers.
we also can't wait for Soarin in August too! Sad BTMR is closed so this will most definitely fill the void!
:)

the tree of life is AMAZING at night. and we also did the night time safari, was meh. the "sunset" was kinda cheesy and we didn't see much. glad we'd done it in the day too.

Re: Soarin, I went on Concourse B and noticed the better screen, but not the smells. Wondering if that was an issue with that theatre or what. DW was in C and said she could really smell the orange and pine.
