Here now! Everything is magical!

Wanted to give a quick review before we head out to breakfast! Love love love magic bands. I love that we all have a key to our room on us at all times. So easy to pay and not have to dig for our room key. There have been no problems at all! FPP is awesome! I was annoyed at having to know what ride I wanted to be on before I even got to the parks but I am over that now and love FPP. We all do. I think it has really maximized our time here. I have had no problems getting on the app in the park or switching things around. We haven't had the need to get a FP beyond our first 3. We are always ready to go after the 3rd one. It is hot but not unbearable. Magic Kingdom was very crowded yesterday! We rode the mine train and we loved it! We ate at Be Our Guest Saturday night and it was awesome. DH had a great steak. We are staying at POR. I requested the mansion side and we got it. Buses have been great. If you have any questions feel free to ask! I will check back when I can! ETA: another thing I forgot. My mom is with us but she wants to buy stuff without it getting charged to our credit card. They were able to link only her magic band to her credit card.

Update: we checked out of POR yesterday. As it turns out, when my mom added her credit card to her band only, they applied it to all of our bands. We didn't discover this until check out, when I saw that my final bill was missing tons of stuff. They were able to move the purchases back onto my CC. So the lesson is, if you are going to have separate CCs, make sure you check before the last day of your trip! Wasn't a huge deal, just a minor annoyance.

We then checked into AKL for a night. That was our first time staying there. We loved it! We liked being right in the action as opposed to POR where you have to walk to the action and your room is kind of isolated from all that. The pool didn't seem as crazy crowded as POR either. Although the slide at POR is better.

We checked out this morning! So sad! Can't wait to go back!

Last time we stayed in a Royal Room which was very cool. But this mansion room seems bigger. I'm not sure that it is but we all agree it seems slightly bigger, which is nice. I much prefer the mansion side over the bayou side.

But seriously, so good to see such positive feedback. We go for two weeks in August. I have been going over and over in my head what people have said and I just can't wrap my head around some of the complaints with the new way of doing things. Like you, I love that I will have 30 fast passes already set up to use. And, provided the magic bands go smoothly I love the conveniences associated with them. I am really excited to go and reports like yours really get me STOKED UP and ready to ROLL outta Buffalo and make my way to sunny (HOT) Florida.

Thanks so much for the up-beat report!! glad you are having such a great time! We also loved the magic bands. I was there three weeks ago and am suffering major Disney blues now!! But reading posts like yours helps me relive the magic!! Hope the rest of your vacation is wonderful!

Update: we checked out of POR yesterday. As it turns out, when my mom added her credit card to her band only, they applied it to all of our bands. We didn't discover this until check out, when I saw that my final bill was missing tons of stuff. They were able to move the purchases back onto my CC. Are they a group of 5? If so, they either need two rooms or 1 room at POR in Alligator Bayou which has a Murphy Bed that will accommodate the 5 year old. If they get two separate rooms next to/near each other then they have a choice of anywhere in POR (I personally love the Royal Rooms)
