Totally have a problem. We are here now and my mother is bringing us back in Dec so DH and I are getting APs. After having them before with park hoppers it is hard to go back. So now we are considering getting the kids them as well and making an extra trip. Anyone want to talk me down? :-).

When my husband and I bought our passes, we would have broke even if we went 10 days in the year. It made sense since we were going to be there for 13 total days. We just looked at the renewal price. Now, to renew, it will cost is $574.04 per person. Ten days worth of park hoppers would cost us $440.91. So, I guess it will all depend on how many days you are going to go to Disney World. For us, it no longer makes financial sense.

The AP still makes sense if the 10 days in the park are divided into multiple trips. The 10-day non-expire park hopper or multiple shorter length park hoppers will cost much more than $574.

Nope. ;)

Enjoy your extra trips!! pixiedust:

This is exactly what will happen to us. Have to get in those extra trips to save money. Oh well. Going to try and upgrade tonight.

we converted to AP's this past Jan. Before we would just go once a year, big expensive trip. But this year we decided we would try doing more budget friendly shorter trips using AP's.. we went in May to POR with AP holder discount and booked for July at POP AP holder discount with memory maker.. and we are booking in Oct/Nov for another 4-5day trip..

I think it is saving us a ton of money simply because before we were restricted to holidays which is expensive, due to school schedule and it was one long trip a year.. now we can bail out and miss a day of school or two and no big deal... plus with it being one big trip we would stay at like Poly or Contemporary instead of a lower cost resort.. all these savings are stacking up big time for us.
