transparent fences maybe ?
It would Zap anyone confused by the term swimming or wading.
From your lips to the Disney execs ears. I hate that they are messing up the views of all of the beaches. My daughter was set to do a pirate cruise at CBR on Sunday and we got an email Monday night telling us that the cruise was changed to Pirate Camp. No boats. No looking for buried treasure. The reason they gave was that they can't dock the boat on the beach with the beaches closed. They suggested we try Port Orleans Riverside since the boat doesn't dock on a beach there. I just wish we could go back to having nice beaches and that we could know people would stay out of the water.Maybe they will create a sand barrier? Just a slight bump at the edge so the water isn't accessible, but the view is unobstructed. I'm probably crazy. I know. Lol
I hope they don't put up something ugly.
That looks promising. Here's a picture from this evening. They have been trucking in sand all day, laying a black tarp, and then covering the tarp with large pale rocks. I'm thinking the final result may be nice.
If they are building some sort of rock barrier, how will they keep people and kids from climbing on it?
I don't think there's a person on this planet that's going to climb on the rocks near the water now. And it's a pretty safe bet there will be signs spelling out why they shouldn't.If they are building some sort of rock barrier, how will they keep people and kids from climbing on it?

That would be sad. Natural selection? And, I happen to think, some will. Like most places, there's an attitude lately of "The rules don't really apply to me." I'm not saying there will be another attack, but you'd better believe people will sit on that wall, pose, etc. It's sad really.
They could be a discreet way to manage line jumpers, too.new feature for the magic bands ... mini-shock collars
Yeah, one would think so... But I've been dealing with "the public" myself for many years, and I immediately noticed that the ropes would have a kid swinging on them in no time (wouldn't be surprised if it's already happened) and then there's just a matter of time until the next unfortunate accident is a fact. Doesn't have to be as horrible as the reason for putting the fences there, of course. But I believe that Disney is acting in the right direction in this case.Me too. I thought the rope fence was sufficient. Now everyone knows about danger
