Here it is - Announcement re More FP+ Beginning 4/28

OMG!! After systematically collecting randomly selected, representative guest feedback they are beginning to make changes to respond to that feedback! I'm shocked!!

Wait... I feel like I've heard some people on here say that would very likely happen... for a VERY LONG TIME now... ... ;)

:thumbsup2 If I were booking today I don't think I'd book my FP+ for rope drop times either. Rope drop has always been the best time to tour and most of WDW's visitors always chose to sleep in because it was vacation, I don't see that changing.

On my previous trip I booked my FP+ for the evening, now I think I'd book them for the 11-2 range in hopes I could snag at least one more quality FP before they run out.

ETA: On park hopping days I think I'll stick with my original touring plan and still book my FP+ for the evening after I hop. That was my favorite part of FP+, being able to book ToT, RnRC, and TSMM at night after spending the morning hitting e-tickets at another park (before tiering).

I'm hoping this is the case. We have always been RD people and will continue to be. Unless I see from first-hand reports that show I shouldn't do it this way, I'm going to book our FP+ from about 12-3 and then see if anything else is left. We've always been able to do so much at RD, and I'm sure it will be a little more restricted now, but hopefully not so much that it hurts our plans significantly.

FWIW, I took the survey on this topic, and this is the one I liked the least. So while they may have responded to feedback, they didn't respond to the most important thing...MY feedback. :rotfl:

Oh come on guys, make shirts? Can't we just buy Disney's magic band shirts? We'll probably be the only ones wearing those anyways

Can your subsequent FP+ be for something you have already done with fastpass?

Along the same line, can subsequent FP+ be for another tier 1 attraction?

^^^ This is exactly what I want to know as well.... makes a big difference if we will be able to ride something again on a fp+ later in the day. I hope there is good feedback next week... however at 6:45 checking tonight at MK... all of the meet and greets and all of the mountains and PP all said stand by only..

We'll see how it goes but I personally am not a fan of the change because of the incentive for people to reserve all their fastpass early, which could add to early stand-by times.

I'm at a point with FP+ and FP that I will not be reading until I'm at 60 days before doing anymore research to see what they do next. By the time November rolls around they will probably just change it a few more times. I'm done trying to stay on top of this for quite a while.

This is such awesome news ... at least for me and my family ... and for many others I am sure. We are there starting Friday, have most days with early fp and a couple with evening fp ... will report how each works out.

I'm really looking forward to reading your experience with this! :thumbsup2

Maybe they will stagger the availability of some tier one passes? For example release X amount at 10 a.m. X amount at 12 p.m. etc.

This would help with them being gone by later in the day.

So let me get this straight...... you think they should hold back FPs to distribute later in the day? So some people wanting a FP for a certain ride as one of their first 3 might not be able to get it..... so that someone looking to book their 4th, 5th or whatever might be able to get it? As much as that might benefit me over many others, I'd still be unhappy with that.

Small or Medium will be find for me :thumbsup2

Put me down for a medium.

Yeah, those would be some pretty critical details.

This is going to discourage people from getting FP+ for Wishes, MSEP, IllumiNations, etc.

It's a start. The questions now are:

What about people who book evening parades/fireworks? Are they out of luck getting more passes since they can't use their third until nearly park closing?

Can you ride something you already had a FP+ for?

Can you ride another tier 1 ride if you've used one of your original 3 on a tier 1?

When will they allow booking additional FP+ using the app instead of kiosks?

Not necessarily.

Many people have reported successful days with 3 FP+. It all depends on what you're trying to accomplish. As long as the rolling FP doesn't screw up stand by lines too badly during the slower times of day, I don't see why it wouldn't still be possible. Especially when you consider the kind of people who arrive late or take afternoon breaks, evening show FP+ can still work out nice for them.

It will discourage me personally from using them, but I didn't think they were all that great after using them on our last trip. Definitely makes the decision easier for us.
