I just figured out that my debit card is demagnetized. I was able to punch in the numbers where I was shopping but I will have to get a new one Monday.
Now I am not sure if my Disney Visa is also demagnetized; it was in the same spot in my purse. I'm going to test it out tomorrow on some small purchase.
If it is demagnetized, however, I don't want to get it replaced for two reasons:
1) we leave for our cruise two weeks from tomorrow and I don't want to take a chance on not getting it.
2) I used it to buy very nice concert tickets with a soundcheck viewing. These are will call tickets for June and I need to take the card used to buy them to pick them up. Don't want to take any chances on losing the tickets because I have an updated card.
I want to use it for my card on the ship; in fact, I put it down on my online check-in. If it is demagnetized, can they just punch the numbers in or will they want another card?
