unless you or you have children(teens) who really, really, really want to eat at planet hollywood, i would change that one. for AK, i would suggest tusker house. very good! happy eating! :earboy2:

Agree completely with Disney Queen--Planet Hollywood is too crowded, too loud, and the food is only mediocre.

Also agree on Tusker House--its a counter service with very good food, and well worth the stop.

Well you guys are way ahead of me ...
I will be there May 13-22 and so far the only thing I have reserved is Mickey's Magical Milestones Tour on Wed the 18th. I know I want to be at MGM on the first day of StarWars Weekends so I may grab a PS's for PrimeTime that afternoon. We are staying 2 nigths POP 5 nights BWV and back to POP for 2 more nights. I really like eating at the food court at POP. My daughter is so embarassed when I do the "hustle" with the CM's at the food court so she will try to make sure we are not near the food court at 6 pm. Shes no fun...

ANyway I will plan my meal now that I know others are working on theirs.
Planning is half the fun...

You are not alone, I haven't even thought of planning my PS yet. We leave April 29-May 14. I did start a list, but it's empty. I figured since I waited this long, I will probably wait another couple of weeks for the May calendar to come out. I got burned in January on making my PS. I made them 3 weeks before my trip, then the evening EMH changed, which caused ALL of my PS to change. I'm waiting this time. No character meals for us, so no need to call more than 30 days out. I'm planning for a tour or 2 so need to sort that one out first.

I would definitely find something else besides Planet Hollywood. Even my teens thought it was the worst food they had during our trip.

Okay so instead of Planet Hollywood. What would you choose. I'm pretty much open to anything on that day. I have a 2 year old boy and a 5 year old girl. So if you can think of anything they might like. Please let me know.

I plan way to much. I booked the Family Magic tour for My husband and daughter on the 18th. It sounds like they will have a blast.

I agree about Planet Hollywood I haven't been to the one's at WDW but I have the one in Myrlte Beach and it is not good food at all...I would definately do something else!!

The only one I would think of changing is Concourse steakhouse. IMHO it's okay but nothing special. I would try either Cindrella's Gala Feast, Bomas, 50's Prime Time Cafe or Liberty Tree Tavern.

I'm glad to see this thread, because I've been trying to plan out our itinerary (first time to WDW!), and I'd like to make the most of our money. We will be on the dining plan, with DD (3), who is well behaved. I've made our PS for dinner, but could use some suggestions on good CS meals at MK, Epcot, MGM, and AK. Thoughts?

SUN - Arrival day (staying @ AKL)
Jiko (PS)

MON
1900 Park Fare (Cinderella dinner - PS)

TUES
Fantasmic package - Hollywood & Vine

WED
Restaurant Akershus (reservationist told me this is a princess dinner, which is weird because I thought they just did this at breakfast...?)

THUR
No plan!

FRI
Boma (PS)

I would suggest skipping counter service in MGM. On a recent thread on couter service restaurants it was pretty clear that MGM did not have anything good to offer in the way of counter service. We really enjoy Prime Time Cafe and Mama Melrose. you could also grab dinner in the Boardwalk area.

For MK counter service we love peco's bill.
