Here goes, my first PTR.....*UPDATE 9/27* only one day left!!

I know it's off the Disney topic, but I wanted to show you a few pictures of my Mom:littleangel: I hope you don't mind me sharing them with you all...

Girl, you go right ahead and post as many pics of your beautiful mom as you want! She'd be thrilled to be a part of your WDW plans.

Sounds easy enough, but did I mention that I'm basically computer illererate?! :rotfl2: I don't know if I can figure out photobucket, but I just might give it a try. I have a ton of photos from our first trip and would love to share some of them...I took nearly 2000 photos in total:eek:
Thanks for your help :)

This is how I have learned everything I know how to do on the Dis... i asked or PM'd others to help me!!! I find everyone to be most helpful!!! I go on someone's PTR or TR and see things that I like and just ask them how to do it!

Welcome to my PTR, I must pop over and check yours out, and I better do it soon or it'll be a TR!:rotfl:

Thanks for popping over! We are so excited about this trip! I will have a new PTR coming out soon... my 2 best friends and I are going to WDW in July doing 1 night of the Platinum Plan!!!!!

That last picture of your mom gave me chills, it was just so beautiful.

This is just a thought, but have you thought about bringing one of your pics with you. There for she will be with you body and spirit. Just make sure to put in a plastic bag in case of any water rides or it rains. Just a thought.:goodvibes

Thank you all so much for all the kind words, and for taking time out and checking out the photos of my Mom:littleangel: I truly appreciate it:lovestruc
Corrine....I think that's a wonderful idea, I will do just that. Thanks so much:flower3:

Since my pre-trip plans have been put on hold for the time being I thought I'd share a photo (now that I can do that:woohoo:) from our 2009 trip. It's one of the first photos I took once we entered Magic Kingdom. Once we went in we headed up to catch the train to Toon Town. I decided to take a photo of the castle and crowd while before we got on the train as we had time. I didn't realize that Chip and Dale and Pluto were all in the photo meeting and greeting at the time! Can you spot them at the bottom of the photo?

I love pics that are of the first glimpse of the Castle! It's such an exciting moment! :goodvibes

Well, after much deliberation and lots of reading on here, plus checking out youtube videos, Dh and I decided to cancel our 50s Prime Time reservations. It looked like a great place, but I just couldn't chance the attention that might have fallen on me. I know I would have stressed from the time we arrived at WDW until the meal was over, and we just couldn't have that. After all, there must be better things to stress over:lmao:
However, we won't be going without a TS meal that day. I was able to get reservations at Sci-Fi and just 5min earlier than the 50sPT were for. We did dine at Sci-Fi last time and the kids really loved it, not to mention it was the quietest meal we had since they were so busy watching the screen! lol So I think we'll be just as happy going here, and I won't have to worry about getting 'scolded' or put in the corner! lol

So for now, while we're in saving mode, I'm looking into how to go about getting personalized t-shirt transfers. I got a link to the DISign board, but have yet to understand the ins and outs of how to go about requesting one, what to do once you get one, and then how to get the actual transfer. About the only thing I do know is how to iron on a transfer once I have one!!:rotfl2:

Yes, read! read! read! over on the disign boards b/c a few of them (not all) have very specific rules that you need to follow to make a request! My suggestion would be to go into the designers threads and click in their signatures on their 4shared files. This will take you to where they have ALL their designs and there are many! Spend some time looking for what you want and then go to their first page on their thread and read their instructions for requesting. Many of them do NOT want you to quote (repost) the actual design b/c it takes up their saving/storage space by doing that! Hope that helps! :thumbsup2

BTW, there are sometimes "blanks" as well that you can save that you might want to use that don't have names on them. They do not mind if you save these, usually you can just right click and "save as"...I have HUNDREDS of them saved!

OK, I will try to explain it.
Go into the DISigner thread and check out the designs. (Some have photo sharing sites which is easier to take a look at what they got instead of going through the whole thread.) A lot of designers ask for the post number or name of the design (you will see the name in the photo sharing site.) Tell them in detail what you want and remember they do this out of the kindness of their own hearts. They don't get paid.

Once they finish, (If it is big) right click on it and choose the "save picture as" choice. It will take you to a screen where you can choose to rename or keep the current name of the pic. Press save, it is now in your picture forlder.

The best way to get it ready for ironing is to click on it, and than press print (I try to do a print preview first to make sure it isn't to big or small). I feel it is best to use the transfer paper for dark colored fabric. It transfers it to a white sheet of paper that you need to trim, but I think it works better. If you use the transfer for white/light shirts it is printed on clear paper so it doesn't seem to come out as bright and you have to mirror image the picture other wise when you iron it on it all looks back wards.

Hope this helps and isn't to confusing.:thumbsup2

Hooray! You figured out Photobucket and how to post pics. I did find that a bit of a challenge the first time I started posting, too. Still haven't did the multi quote. I usually just open two browsers and cut and paste. I will have to try out the multi quote now. Sounds so much easier. :lmao: My next BIG project is adding a ticker to my siggie. Did I mention my hubby is Mr. Computer??? He could do all of this with a snap of his fingers but no such luck for me. :rotfl2: I have to beg for help here on the boards or watch the tutorials.

I totally understand about 50's PTC. If you have any sort of anxiety it might make it a bit too stressful. I really like Sci-Fi, too!!!!
I will have to watch these youtube videos. It may change my mind as well. The waiter we had wasn't too over the top last time we went. Now you have me SCARED. :scared1: :rotfl2:

Cannot wait to see some pics of your past trips now that you have conquered Photobucket!!!:banana::banana:

I absolutely LOVE the pics of your mom! She was a beautiful lady! Thanks for sharing.

The youtube videos made me want to go to 50s PTC even more! :lmao:

I totally understand the reasoning for cancelling due to anxiety. I honestly am the same way (please don't look at me or put me on the spot). But I'm going in with the "everyone else will be treated the same and if I mind my manners, it will just be the kids who serve a time out... especially the big one - DH!" I'm pretty good at elbows off the table, and I could cope well if there was a shortage of meat (I've gone through vegetarian phases in my life), and usually the first thing I eat on my plate anyway is the veggies.

I know that the theme isn't for everyone, and I'm glad that you made the right decision now instead of having an upsetting meal. (I'm also glad that I mentioned youtube videos and you snuck over there to check them out.)

Hopefully I'll have the camera rolling and you can see how much fun I'm having laughing at DH and the kids being sent to time out. Maybe if we're lucky, they'll help DS find a girlfriend. :lmao::lmao::lmao: (He needs another one he says.)

We have a 50's Prime Time cafe' reservation for lunch on Friday, April 22. I am anxious to see how our waitperson deals with my kids... my daughter doesn't eat any vegetable besides corn and my son doesn't eat meat!!!! This should be interesting:lmao: Either my kids will laugh hysterically or scream forcing us to leave!!!

Well, after nearly four days with no internet, or off an on internet which is useless, I am now back online!!:cool1: I am all caught up with the PTRs as well:thumbsup2 Needless to say I got a lot more housework done while offline!! LOL

Since my trip plans are in a holding pattern, I've been working on getting my past trip all scrapbooked. I did a small album for AR and am nearly done one for RT. Next I hope to do MJ one and then a big family one! I want to get all of this done before we're overloaded with 2000+ more Disney photos, so it feels like I'm working toward this trip!

Another thing I am working on is dropping some weight. I am 30lbs heavier than when we went last time, and I'd like to get down to even less. The weather is getting nicer, so we're going to get out and walk more too, so we can get used to lots of walking. Just one more way of getting ready for our trip without actually working on plans, while we're saving up!

Best of luck on releasing some weight! Just please don't send it my way. ;)

Here's is my favorite photo from our 2009 Disney trip. It was on our last day in Disney and we had breakfast reservations at CP for before the park opened. Main St. was nearly bare and the kids just stood there in awe of the castle in the middle of Main St. We walked up a bit and seen a photopass guy, I told him I wanted a photo of them facing the castle (to recreate the moment that I just witnessed). He looked at me a bit strange, and the kids faced the castle, then he said "kids, point to the castle", so they did and I snapped a photo right along with him. It turned out to be my favorite one, and I can't even see my kids' faces!:rolleyes1:blush::rotfl2:

I love the picture!!!!! Such an amazing shot!!!

What a photo... and a great memory!

I am definitely 100% absolutely positive that on our next family vacation, we will have an early ADR so we can get into the MK before everyone else! I don't know why I've never thought about it before. We're early risers, anyway, and always get there for RD.

Thanks ladies :)
When we booked our CP breakfast we didn't even realize it was for before the park opened. We were just glad to get something as we were less than a month out when we decided to do the DDP. When I noticed it was earlier than the park opened I went into a panic (after all we were brand spanking new to everything Disney!:rotfl2:) and got Dh to phone to find out how we could do that. I was still skeptical and not sure what would happen, but it was awesome!!
We enjoyed it do much we've booked another early CP breakfast on MJ's birthday this trip.....I can't wait!!!

Oh I love it! (so much I might have to steal it!)

LOVE having an ADR for CP before the park opens! We have one for the upcoming trip too!!! :thumbsup2
