We totally understand! After a not so great stay last year, due to a very busy split stay over our regular 2 week vacay, we gave OKW another chance in March, and absolutely fell in love with it!

We have been lucky to stay in Turtle Pond both times (almost identical rooms), and we all love it! We don't want to stay anywhere else - LOL! Which is fine as we've stayed pretty much everywhere else.

The 1 bedrooms, by far, are amazing! Love the new renovations too!

Have a wonderful time - only about 1 more month for us and we are back to OKW for 5 days, before we check in to AKV!

Thanks for the post! We were going to try another resort since we stay at OKW all the time, but the vote was a resounding "No, OKW only!" So we requested Turtle Pond too, that's where we like to stay (especially in the one bedroom for the views and the walk-through in the laundry room to the bathroom). We'll be there for Halloween and can't wait! Enjoy your stay!

Just returned form OKW 3 weeks ago, my second favorite resort to my home resort of BCV, but for the last several years have stayed at OKW many more times than BCV. This year alone I will have stayed at OKW 24 nights and only 2 at BCV

Gurgling Suitcase is a great little bar.

Will be back at OKW Sept 24-30, Oct 21-24 and Nov 17-22

The more people that know about our best kept secret (OKW) the harder it will be to get in! I agree with Turtle Pond...it's our fav area to be in!

We like Turtle Pond because it is removed from the hub hub of HH. The views are lovely, there's the quiet pool and the bbq grills. We always travel with at least 3 boys, my son and his 2 friends, all 14yrs old and at this point they prefer the quiet pool at Turtle pond rather than the main pool. The fact that The Turtle Shack is there doesn't hurt either because trust me at 14 "food is important. The Turtle Shack has pizza, sandwiches, hot dogs, ice cream, nachos, but then so does Good To Go by the main pool!

Walking to HH or the main pool for us is no big deal but it is a bit of hike for those that do not like to walk or for those with little kids, but you can always take the bus at Bldng#32.

But in my mind there's really not a bad area of OKW!

Great day at EPCOT...Princess dinner, Rose and Crown, soarin, Test Track, all the must do's-then the cats ans dogs feel constantly from the sky and we are home . To Joan who asked- I reaaly love Turtle Pond and where we are at due to A/Its a building above 30 with the extra door to bathroom B/ Walk to HH , but have all the quiet that we love, but very close to action C/ The beautiful view of golf green and pond D/ The tennis courts across from us readily open as opposed to HH.
Kid at heart-Linens are really nice(and im picky) and soft so dont waste luggage space...we are sleeping like babies here!
We also loved Olivias menu and service. Prime rib was amazing!!!! We also had Goods and good snacks and smoothies at poolside. Rented a mickey sea racer thingy that was wonderful along the river all the way to downtown. Highly recommend it on a resort day. my DD7 loved it!!!
