Well I am alive and well today, however very very tired!

The Tornados that ripped through Central Florida were very close to my house! Missed us by about ten miles. My In-laws were huddled in their bathtub from 3:30 am to 6:00 am, they live in Paisley were 11 people died.

I was woken up about 3:30 am, power went off around 4:00, just fell back to sleep, and another big boom woke me up around 4:30 am. We found a battery and put it in the weather radio only to here that a tornado was coming our way. Things quieted down after about an hour, just fell back to sleep, when my dh wakes me up and says I am late for work. We still did not have power. Grabbed a bottle of water to brush my teeth, got dressed by candlelight, and headed off to work.

Watched some news around lunch time, and the devastation all around me is just terrible. It is even on cnn.com .

I am very thankful to be alive today, and glad the power came back on so I can buy some hats!

I can't believe they will only be available for one day!

See you around the kingdom, and I am so happy I did not FLY away last night!

Fly

Wow.
So sorry to hear about that.

Thank goodness you are alright!

Wow Fly! Nothing like a rope on the ground to lend a little unwanted stress to your life! Go to WDW this weekend and take your mind off of it.

I hope you and yours are ok. Let me know if you need anything!

Glad to hear you are OK, Fly.... Over in Lakeland we had nothing but a wicked cool thunder & lightning storm. Sadly I was up when it started on a troubleshooting call for work... The cats were all freaked out by the storm tho.

Wow Fly - so happy that you are okay. Hope your family and friends are well.

Fly, I'm glad you came through that ok. Reading about it was scary enough. Make sure to get some extra rest this weekend to help you recover from that ordeal. :goodvibes

Fly! Big big huge huge hugs!     Glad to hear you and your family are okay. Like Q said, get some rest over the weekend. Send my hugs to everyone out there!

Oh Fly, glad to hear you are ok:cool1: Watched CNN this morning and worried. Happy you made it through.:thumbsup2

I saw the news early this morning about the tornados and am glad you and your family are safe  I have experienced many earthquakes, and actually enjoy them, but NEVER a tornado :scared1:

It seemes that the "Magical Kingdom" got very lucky :thumbsup2 As the news reported that tornados went to the north of Orlando and then to the south ... too close for comfort I am sure :sad1:

Glad to hear that you and Aeryn are safe and sound...

Glad to hear you and your family are ok! Woo, tornados are scary! I've been in three so far -- each one more disastrous than the previous. Here in the midwest we don't usually see them until later in the spring.

Glad to hear that you're ok, Fly! So sorry to hear about those who were hit. :(

I've always wondered about this; has WDW ever been hit by a tornado?

There was a tornado watch (not even a warning) for Orlando on the last day of our WDW trip this past November, and I'm glad I had my packing to distract me from thinking about it too much. Common occurrence for you Florida folks, I'm sure, but us west coasters get a little rattled. (We prefer the occassional surprise earthquake!)

Fly,

Glad you and your family are ok. Hope the rest of your family and friends are safe and sound. Good thing you didn't fly away either. Stay safe , my thoughts are with you.

hugs,
