I am wanting to stay at one of the hotels close to the Port for one night. It would be for 2 adults, 2 children and we would need to be shuttled to the port. I am a federal government employee, do you know if any of these hotels offer a cruise package for a discounted government rate?

I sent a copy of your post to several hotels and will post when I get their reply OK?

Here are a couple of answers for you.


Shirley we offer the per diem for our guests – this would include their room with 2 beds and transportation to the port – it is available on our website – although some of us are offering better rates right now – they just need to check – with the Radisson regardless of the rate we will provide transportation to the port included

We do offer a government rate of $106 to active military with proper ID. It does depend on the date as to whether the govt rate is available.

OK here is some update - FIRST --IF YOU ARE COMING HERE FOR THIS WEEKEND. We are going to have some VERY UNUSUAL SUPER DUPER COLD WEATHER - don't forget to bring some jackets etc.

SECOND ---the Dinosaur Store will NOT be opening this month - they are going to try again for sometime in February - will post as soon as I find out.

Normy, tia and I are all wrapped up already like we are at the North Pole but in speaking with a few folks today, this would be spring weather since they are experiencing waaaaaaaay below the 0 mark. I have to really have a deep respect for all of those that are in the deep freeze - Norm and I wouldn't make it

Just wanted to say that I booked CI&S back in Feb 08 and rechecked the rate this week. It had dropped a lot and I called the hotel directly and they lowered my original booking rate. So if anyone has a current CI&S reservation you might want to call and see if your rate has dropped. It can't hurt anyhow!

Oh and I was told by the woman I spoke with that the "park and cruise package" is an additional $20 added to your rate. This rate includes a FREE shuttle to the port for each person in the room. But I did confirm with the lady that we can park for free for the week but we'd have to pay per person for the shuttle. Thought I'd update you in case anyone needs that information.
