UPDATE:

i just wanted to tell those staying at the Residence Inn , they offer on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday compilmentary food and drinks such as beer, wine and soft drinks - on Wednesday they have hamburger and hot dogs grilled outside also with choices of the drinks above.
I forgot to mention that they are also a pet friendly hotel for those traveling with the pets

I also stopped by Hertz to see who the new manager was and Gary introduced himself and then there is Stephanie Waldron as a location manager.
He told me that even though he wasn't very happy with the charges for refueling fee, they have a one time charge of $6.99 a gallon and there was no drop off fee so I would suggest going right next door to the Ractrac and filling up at a very very lower fee and save yourself some $$$$

Anyhow just wanted to mention the places I visited today to update everyone and thought I would mention everything so until next time, everyone have a great weekend.

We will be stayng at the Radisson in 12 days. Can you tell me how it is. I have allergys so I am hoping they are clean.

The Radisson is EXTRA CLEAN but if you have any problems whatsoever,
go to the front desk and ask for the BIG GM who's name is Joe P.

I talked to Joe and he seemed really nice. I did however forget to mention my allergies and know that some of the Florida hotels can be a bit musty because of the humidity. That is why I asked the question to someone who had recently stayed there. By the way. I am sooooo excited to see the beach baskets you are making for us. You were a gem to talk to and were very helpful and informative.

Let me repeat Shirley's warnings regarding speeding. On our way home from the Magic last Saturday we saw 6, yes, 6 patrol cars and 4 of them had people pulled over. All of them were within 15 minutes of Port Canaveral.

I have never seen that many speed traps within a short space in my life.

I have never seen that many speed traps within a short space in my life.

I have more than once repeated that the patrols have been out in many many numbers and the fines are now over $150.00 plus. We have also what is called citizen's patrol and they are in unmarked cars and you will be caught before you know it. The most important issue is that there have been so many accidents and some extremely serious so please be careful. It's not worth the time lost.

we will be in the area this dec 09 for a cruise. there will be 4 adults and 2 kids. Where would you recommend staying a night or two before our cruise? When my dh and dd's and i went on a previous cruise we stayed at the radisson and liked it. We are wanting to find someplace that has a shuttle/park&cruise pkg. and where we can get a room big anough for all 6 or a connecting/adjoining room. Thanks!!!

thanks Shirley for all your helpful info! We've done several cruise but not stayed in PC before. For our upcoming cruise we are staying in PC the night before....I will remind DH to lay off the gas pedal!! Don't want a ticket to start out the trip~! And I wil be ordering goodies from you soon!

Hey girlfriend lillygator,
Glad to hear you will be coming to visit our fair city. PLEASE do remember that the ''force'' is out in force and no matter how much you try, you can not talk yourself out of a ticket which now have jumped BIG TIME in cost.
In all of my years of driving and there have a few times I should have been ticketed, but wasn't so just maybe I can make my goal of never receiving a ticket and NO I AM NOT AN OLD PERSON DRIVING I can be a wild one with over stepping on the gas petal and yes over the limit, but have to catch myself. THANK GOD for cruise control ;-).

Just thought I would give this a bump up in case anyone needs information
I will add that the Dinosaur Store has become so beautiful with its sculptures of guards on the corners of the buildings, the pillars of bones etc
Am sure looking forwarded to it being opened which should be soon.
Had no idea it was going to be that great looking - you think Ron Jons is the talk of the town? Not when the dinosaur store opens

Just a note to the person concerned about mold - don't be - this hotel has just been redone and is nice and lovely and dry.

Also - to the person wanting to sleep six in two connecting rooms - the radisson can do that also. We had one of the connectors in September.
