Helpful hint on owner update meetings.

I stayed at OKW from 1/11 to 1/23. I went to the owner update meeting on Tues 1/13 at OKW and it was full to overflowing. On Thursday, 1/22, I went to the owner update at BWV and was delighted to see that the meeting was less than a third full.

My suggestion- If you are staying at OKW, go to an owner meeting at one of the other (smaller) DVC resorts. Not only will you get more personal attention, get another free breakfast, and see someplace new, but you are much more likely to win someting in the raffle. (I did).

I don't know what the usual attendance is like for OKW member updates, but attendance there may have been heavier because they were hoping for info on the new pool slide that is scheduled for that resort.

They had no new info unfortunately.

Just a note: that won't always work. The member meeting that I attended last October at BWVs was SRO!

For new members..............DVC owner meetings are only held at OKW(tues) and BWV(thurs).

I was at the OKW meeting on 1/13, too -- and was surprised at the crowd! Could be that the morning was cool and the coffee was hot. I didn't win anything but -- I mentioned to my husband that there were points for sale at OKW in our use year month. And voila! the next day I had more points to use. I am so glad I went to that "early" morning meeting.
