Help!!

We are arriving in mid-July for a dance trip...we are planning on getting in the night before the group and staying at a non-Disney hotel for hte night. I'd kind of like to be able to check in and walk over to Downtown Disny and check it out/have dinner.

Is there only one entrance to Downtown Disney?

What is the closest Non-Disney hotel to the Downtown Disney entrance?

Sorry but I feel like a complete newbee with this LAND trip...give me WDW and I can plan in my sleep but I feel so lost with DL!!!

The DTD in Disneyland is quite different than WDW; it is basically a straight street with stores on both sides. There are two main entrances, one at each end, plus one from GC, the monorail, and DLH. If you stay at one of the hotels on Harbor that is close to the park entrances, you will be about as close as you can be to the DTD entrance which is closest to the parks.

The Anabella and the Best Western Stovalls are fairly close to the Disney hotels side of Downtown Disney. Both have good deals and are nice, clean places to stay.
