HELP! WW Fans

I tried WW in the past, but I never really gave it a good try. I think I could be successful at the Flex program if I truly stuck to it. This may sound silly, but I feel embarrassed going back to the meetings. I think I have started about 5 times in the last 12 months. The leader is great, but I feel like a loser (the wrong kind :) ) Thoughts?
 
I am a weight watchers member. My leader jokes that she has the record for joining! She said she went and quit so many times before she hit goal and became a leader.

Also, I can definitely beat your 5 times in the past 12 months. :rotfl:

Go back. It works. MANY people are repeat joiners.
 
I have a friend that has lost 120 lbs. doing weight watchers. She looks fantastic, and her confidence is sky high -she feels like she can accomplish ANYTHING now. I'm so proud of her.

Most leaders are leaders because they've gone through the program. They want to share their experiences with other people also struggling with their weight. Please don't think your re-joining will be the first time your leader sees people joining/quitting/re-joining.

Here's my lecture...If you're really serious about losing weight, you need to commit to it (just like anything else - smoking, going back to school, marriage, etc.) otherwise it's NOT going to work. I couldn't tell you how many times I 'quit smoking for good' before I actually kicked the habit. Once you're ready to commit and ignore all the excuses you may have (my scapegoat was my stressful job), you can do anything.

The only thing you have to lose is weight!! Good luck and come back to the boards! There seems to be lots of great support here!

I was just going to say the thing about keep trying - like a person quitting smoking! I've been going for almost a year, and it's really slow for me. I am down 28 lbs. with 8 to go to goal. It feels like forever, but I am getting there and you will too! Just do it!

Hey QT Pooh - my uncle has a house on Sunapee in Newbury! :wave2: We are up there alot on the weekends.

Don't feel funny about joining again. Be proud of yourself for making this commitment. I truly believe that WW is the program that will get me to goal. It can really work for you as long as you are willing to make the commitment.
