<font face="times" size="+0">Hi, you may want to consult a divorce lawyer regarding this.
It's also possible that a closing company, such as those that people use for
DVC resales, may be able to help you.
Holland & Knight and
Timeshare Closing Services are two closing companies that I personally have dealt w/, but only for buying/selling a DVC resale, so it's not quite the same situation.
As I understand it, you will basically need to get a new deed recorded. You might even have to do DVC's ROFR paperwork, I'm not sure though. There may also be complications if you financed your original DVC purchase and it's not fully paid off yet.
Another option is, if you are doing an add-on of 150 points or more (assuming you are adding-on directly through DVC), you can just start a brand new membership that's only in your name. Then you can get the add-on done sooner, instead of waiting for the whole name change to be processed first. If you are buying a resale add-on then it doesn't matter how small the add-on is, you can have it deeded to just yourself and thus easily create a brand new membership# that way.
Anyway, HTH steer you in the right direction. Good luck.
