Hi all! I would like to use Chicken broth in my stuffing instead of butter, how much do I use? The recipe calls for 1 and a half cups of water and 4 tablespoons of butter, so should I just use 4 tbsps of broth? Help!
I would add all broth instead of the water and use 2 cups...or if you think it would be too much salt, use 1 cup water, 1 broth. See the consistency after you mix it and add more accordingly.
The issue is, I do not have enough butter. Someone in my home (the only other person that lives here) put an empty box of butter back in the fridge, leading me to think we had plenty, when in fact we do not. lol Boys!
I wish I could make that statement. My family has asked me to make stovetop from now on, just can't get the stuffing to come out right no matter what I do.

I know I am late but we only use butter when cooking the onions and celery on the stove top. Not sure why you would need butter in the stuffing as well. We add bread to the onions and celery as well as poultry seasoning and water.
