Help with splitting large party into 2 ADR's

I am the only one with an MDE account and will be making ADRs for our family group of 8. I will check first for a party of 8, but I also want to be ready to split our party. I was practicing on the website (not the app) and able to split the group into 4+4 and book a reservations for 4 under my husband as lead guest, and one for 4 under my name. However when I look at my MDE, there isn't any way to cancel or modify the one made under my husband's name. Do I have to call? If that is the case, then I'm thinking I should just make an MDE account for him so I can modify/cancel easier. No one in my family will be able to help me with the ADR's. Would I need to be logged into both our accounts to split the ADRs like this?

We had a party of 7 for our last pre-covid trip, and I didn't have any trouble booking our ADR's as one group. Things could be different now, I know, but I'd assume if 7 was okay then 8 would probably be fine too.

For our upcoming trip, we have a party of 11 and split almost every reservation. I will say if someone can help you make the ADR's you will probably have an easier time. My husband and I got up at 6am and decided just to divide and conquer - but having me handle Group A and him handle Group B made things go a lot quicker, which helped us get more of the ADR's we wanted.

Thanks. I feel like with only a 60 day window, the reservations for 8 seem more scarce. I have been looking a lot. Do you have 2 separate MDE accounts?

We do, my husband has one and I have one. We also had to be sure that we were both connected with the rest of our party so that we could each manage their reservations.

Also, they might be more scarce but we did get a party of 9 for Storybook Dining, 6 for Space220, 10 for Biergarten.... it's not impossible!
