Help with "search" function on these boards???

What am I doing wrong? I have never had a problem searching for posts by user name before, but I keep coming up with no matches. Has something changed? I go to advanced search and put in the user name, right?

Yes and Yes.

The search is severely crippled because they only index the first message in a post. That worked fast but was pretty useless. Now if you try to search on anyone, it returns nothing. So it was useless and now it's even more so.

I'd suggest trying google, you can put site:disboards.com in the search window with your search phrases and it will search just this site and may find what you are looking for.

this issue is drivng me crazy too! It makes it very hard to stalk people here on the DIS! I need my daily stalking!!!
