Help with Room Request AKV Jambo

We'll be staying at AKL for the first time, in a standard studio at Jambo. I'd love to get one of the reclassified savannah views. What's the best way to word it if I call to ask for one? (I'm staying on rented points, so it will actually be David's that does the requesting.) I know I can pick Kudu Trail for an option on online check-in -- should I just request that? Or should I specifically mention savannah view?

They don't accept requests by telephone at the resort for DVC villas. Just add it to your request when you do online check in.

Isn't David's able to make room requests through CRO? I know I can't make the request, but I wanted to know the best wording to have David's use.

You could try requesting a partial view of the savanna or a view of the 'people pens'. I believe these areas see some savanna but are not as scenic, hence the reclassification as standard views.

I would personally request close to the lobby and just go to the public viewing areas to see the animals, though.

Don't be too disappointed if you don't get a savanna view. There really are lots of great places to watch the animals at AKL.

DVC reservations are not made through CRO (Central Reservations Office - now it is Disney Reservation Center DRC). They are made through Member Services. Only the member who used the points to make the reservation can make requests. So you would need David to contact the owner you rented from to make your request. I'm not sure they will do that, but you can try. David doesn't own the reservation; he is just a matchmaker matching up someone who wants to rent out their points to someone who wants a reservation. Only the member who made it can do anything at all about it.

I've gone back and forth about where I'd like to request, but DD would really like to try for one of the reclassified rooms. I know we'll love it, no matter where we stay. Thanks!
