Help with Pre-Disney days in Orlando.

My fiancée and myself are going to WDW Sunday-Friday in janurary. We are using our DVC membership. I was just wondering if any other DVCers had any good ideas or things to do if we stay outside the park like thurs or Friday till Sunday before we check into BWV. Also if there were any good hotels or hotel deals anyone knows of.

I figured a lot of other DVC members do this so I thought I would ask. We have been to Sea World and the space center.

How about Discovery Cove? I remember someone here on the DIS raving about it in the Trip Reports forum.
