Bay Lake Tower refurb dates

Same We specifically chose a 2-bedroom at BLT over BR or CC at WL for Christmas week awhile back assuming the rooms would be refurbed! Quite unhappy to read that it now is extended. We had all three 2-bedroom choices and decided to spend more to be walkable to MK for a Christmas week stay. So very disappointed.

This article states the extension has no impact on villa refurbs:

“This does not impact ongoing refurbishment of the DVC villas at Bay Lake Tower. The hard goods renovation began back in September 2024 and is still expected to wrap-up around September 2025.”

Any recent updates on the room refurbishments? Sections done? Floors done?

I will be in a two bedroom lake view (preferred view?) soon.

Here now. Request a room with a pull down Murphy bed. We are in the north tower, 6th floor facing marina. I love BLT. I asked the family to modify our next trip to BLT and was out-voted.

25% of rooms are closed for refurbishment which makes the pool capacity delightful.

Is the renovation complete at BLT? When looking on DVC site it says through late 2027??
We had a beautiful refurbished unit in September and didn't notice anything!

The major dvc portion of the Reno is complete including rooms , lobby , and community center at blt. The only note is that this month until may the pool is closed for refurb or maintenance. In the last month or so the thru 2027 message was added to both blt and the contemporary as a whole. It is unconfirmed what work is happening but the suspicions are public and outdoor spaces getting some tlc. I wouldn’t expect any construction of inconvenience in sept 2026
