I'm glad I found this board. This will be our first time to Disney with 3 boys, ages 7, 4, and 2. We will be in Disney Thurs. 4/13 through Monday 4/17. We are planning 3 days park hopper. Which day would be good to go (less crowd)? We are planning to go to MK for 2 days?? since we have small kids and would need extra time to walk around and wait in line etc.., and AK for one day then hop over to Epcot when AK closes. We will also hop over to MGM for Fantasmic one night. Is 2 days at MK too much? Would it be less crowded on Thurs, Sun. and Mon.? Those are the days we planned to be at the park. What do you think? Is Easter Sunday better than Friday as far as crowd goes?

Also what would be my strategies for MK so that I won't miss anything if I want to do it in one day or one and a half only? That way I could hop to MGM. What should I see first etc... Anybody has a good strategies to beat the crowds? Thanks in advance for your advice.

Hi, minnymi, and welcome to the DIS!!! I think your strategy of spending two days at the Magic Kingdom is wise. Easter is the very busiest time of the year, and there won't be any way to avoid crowds. And "less crowded" is relative, since all of the days of your trip will be packed. Are you staying at a Disney resort? If so, you will be able to use early morning and late evening Extra magic Hours.

The best advice is always arrive early - be there when the parks open, and do as much as possible before the crowd builds. Learn about the FastPass program and use it as often as you can. You will still have a great trip!!!!

I might rethink the idea of MGM or AK. They are both wonderful parks, but you just can't fit everything into a three day stay. Concentrate on the MK and Epcot this trip, and you'll have a little bit better chance of relaxing for a few minutes, instead of racing from park to park.

Have fun!!!

You are going at one of the most crowded times of the year ... there will be no days that are "less" crowded. And you will definitely need two days at MK, because mostly what you'll be doing is standing in line. This would go for the other parks as well. Sad but true!

I will be there the same week. My boys are 8 and 11. We go every year. MK is a good choice for 2 days (we still go 2 days even now that they are older). When you go to MK, go early and head for Dumbo, Peter Pan etc. These are the rides that the little ones love and will have the longest lines. My boys were bored at Epcot and AK. They love MK and MGM. Hope this helps. :wave2:

If you are staying at a disney resort be sure to use early and late entry hours, use fast pass and have meals planned before you leave. The parks will be quite crowded but with a little planning you will still have loads of fun.
