Help with my scanner????

Way off any topic here. But, hey this is just the CB.

Okay, I know it is a longshot, but I am trying to scan a black and white drawing that I made, and the scanner is scanning the white (the white paper) as a light gray!!!

Anybody with any tips or ideas that might help?

Do you have a black and white setting on your scanner, in the control box on your computer? Try that, it sounds like it is trying to make a color picture out of it.

Yep, tried that too....

This paper is pretty darned white too!!!

Maybe DH can help me try again later. I am too frustrated with it.

I tryed going into our photo program and removing the gray. But, when it removes the gray, it lightens the picture to much.
