Here is my story and I would love opinions on what to do.

I currently have a reservation for 4 nights at the ASMU Family Suites and then moving to Pop Century for Free Dining.........the suites are not available for that.

I really wanted to try the Family Suites but I dont know if it is worth having my family move or not. Would you try to switch the room only to Pop for those 4 days?

Thanks.......

10 days is a long time. Having stayed at both, I would stay at POP if I had the free meal plan for the entire stay. Of course, I don’t know if that is an option for you. If it is…then take it. If everyone in your photo is going, that could be big bucks. If not, I probably would split them as well. 10 days in a value resort is a long time. It would be nice to split things up and make it seem like another vacation again. Good luck and have a great time.

We've only taken one trip to WDW as long as 10 days. 10 days at one place was a long time. Moving from one resort to another takes a little time but the change of scenery and accommodations would freshen up the stay. Good luck

I agree.
Plus the Family have the kitchette which will come in handy until you move to Pop and get the free dining.

Family Suite info:

DH and I stayed in a Family Suite at All Star Music ( a value resort) in Sept. of 2006.

We really enjoyed the Queen size bed, the kitchenette with the microwave, having a sofa and cushioned chair to sit on and relax after a day at the parks before retiring for the evening.

I thought the pullouts very comfortable.

They are designed so the back cushion and seat cushion of the pullout support the pullout. There is no metal bar to hurt the sleepers back.

Here is the layout of the Family Suites:

ASMusic_FamSuite_layout.jpg

They:

-Sleep up to 6 (plus one child under age 3 in a Pak-n-Play crib)
-Studio amenities and separate sleeping areas giving more privacy than a standard room.
-Queen bed, full-size pullout sofa, convertible ottoman & chair sleepers (4 separate sleepers)
-Private master bedroom and family room have 27” flat CRT TV and high speed Internet access.
-Kitchenette with microwave, small refrigerator (4.3 cu. ft) and coffee pot
-Two-full bathrooms

Your posts are the reason that I really wanted to stay in the Family Suites lol!!! I'm just not sure my family would agree with me......I dont even want to ask them because I am afraid they will say that they would rather check into Pop and stay right through...and a continuing reservation may make it possible to not have to move.....

But can you tell that I really want to stay there?

Yes, I can tell.
I loved staying at the Family Suites!

The QUEEN SIZE bed and private master bedroom area is reason enough for me.

The Suites were just built and the furnishings ,carpet, beds and bedding are brand new.

Also the kichenette with the coffee pot, fridge and microwave!

We Popped some popcorn and sat on the sofa and easy chair .We put our feet up and we took a little time to relax before retiring for the night.

The master bedroom had an easy chair I could relax in .
I loved the desk area in the master bedroom. I used the desk in the master bedroom for my makeup vanity.

I love the fact that the Family Suites have 2 privacy curtains . 1 by each vanity.

The Family Suites are located in the Calypso and Jazz Buildings. Those are the buildings that are nearest to the main pool, food court and bus stop so there was walking to and from our room.

How many are in your group?

Are you staying in 1 or 2 rooms at rooms at Pop?

I would love to take a 10 day visit and split it with part in the family suites. The separate master would be worth any small amount of complaining about having to move resorts to get the free dining.:thumbsup2
