Ummmm, where do I begin
In the spring of 2001, I decided I needed to make a change in my weight to become a better athlete. I went to see a "medical weight management" specialist, and through the help of weekly meetings, a nutritionist and occasionally some medication (as well as working out 2-3 hours a day), I lost about 60 lbs. I felt great. I played well. I could shop in normal stores. It was wonderful
I graduated from college, and went to graduate school. It was a 12 month program where I was busy from 6:30 am to 7 or 9 pm between student teaching, classes and coaching. I had little time for excercise, and was not good at all about watching my weight.
The last year and half has been no better. I excercise very sporadically, never finding a routine. I make bad choices concerning portion size and food choices. In return, I have put back nearly all of the weight I had lost. I don't really think I look that bad, I wear a smaller size than I had when I weighed this much, but I know I am unhealthy, and I know I owuld be happier if I could take off the weight.
The part that is so frustrating is I know what to do. I have the resources to excerice more (firm videos, bikes, walking the dog etc). I know what good portion control is. I know how to make good food choices. But I don't. And I don't know how to make myself start.
I very much want to start a family, but know it is unhealthy at my weight. I want to lose that 60 lbs before we start. And our basic timeline is looking to start in the spring of 2006. That gives me 1.5 years to lose 60+ lbs. That is a realistic goal. But it's a goal I've had for 2 months, an I haven't made any progress yet.
We have a cruise planned for next may, and a trip to WDW in june. I'd like to lose 30 lbs (or more) by then.
Someone please give me the guidence to help me down this road. thank you
