In the UK halloween seems to be slightly different to the US, with mostly scary costumes such as ghosts/ghouls/monsters etc.

We went to a party last year in the costumes below, and I was wondering if they are suitable for us at MNSSHP this year (minus the sythe of course !), and I heard that costumes must not drag on the floor so I have cut some off the bottom of the cape, but would they be deemed as offensive? I would be so upset if we were turned away at the disney gates, but am so looking forward to going in costume.

I don't think those should present a problem. Dracula definatly not. They just don't want hard core horror, drippy, bloody things that make little children and big children freak out and start screaming.

I always use Haunted Mansion as the level of "extreme" and go down from there.

I wonder if there is a Disney e-mail for someone that makes these kinds of calls? Cast members, do you know anything?

We are going to MNSSHP for the first time this year, and I've read a lot of posts here about how hot the weather can be. Those costumes look like they might be pretty warm.

I can't tell if the death costume has a mask or makeup, but I think that might be kind of scary for younger kids if they saw it. I know my DD-5 might freak out. Again, I haven't been yet, so I don't know how people dress, but I think a mask or makeup would also be too hot (it would for me anyway).

Just my uninformed 2 cents. There are probably others who can give better advice who've actually been to the party. :flower:
