Help with MDE friend permissions

New here, looking for some help. We have an upcoming trip, I purchased Memory Maker for our group (2 families - 6 people). I have been told that in order for everyone's MagicBand to work with the MM, they all have to have permission to View/Order my photos in MDE.

Problem: 4 of the people in the group don't have access to do that from MDE at the moment. When I try to edit, the option "able to view and purchase photo pass photos" is not available to me. The only checkbox on their name is "This friend often travels with me".

On their end, they have the box checked for ME to see THEIR photos, but there's not an option for the other way around, which is what I need, correct? How do I correct this??

I don't 100% follow what you are saying, but I have never tried to share memory maker across accounts, so we always ignore that section. Long story short, I would call the tech line and have them do it……...

You need to add them in the friend and family section. If they have their own mde accounts then they have to go in an approve the request. Then they will have to go in and decide what to share with you and allow to see and purchase photopass pictures. You do not have to check any box in order to share the pictures, since you are the one adding them.

You need to add them in the friend and family section. If they have their own mde accounts then they have to go in an approve the request. Then they will have to go in and decide what to share with you and allow to see and purchase photopass pictures. You do not have to check any box in order to share the pictures, since you are the one adding them.

They are already in my Friend & Family section. They do not have their own MDE account- the husband and daughter are being managed by the wife. She is fine, but it's the accounts she manages that i can't get permission to.

Basically the problem seems to be this:

None of my family or friends who do not have their own MDE account can view my plans or photos, and I have no way of changing that although I WANT them to be able to view my plans and photos. I see no where to correct this....

If they don't have and mde account how are they supposed to look at the plans and photos? I am not sure what you are expecting. Only people with mde account can have acces to those thing. For people being managed by the account permission don't need to be set everything shares automatically including FP and resort reservation information. As long as they are all showing in your family and friends section and the holder of the account has set the account to share with you.

So the other family has one mde account, headed up by wife
Husband and child are managed by wife.

You have an account and maybe others in your family

You invited the wife and she accepts
Both you and her have the able,to view and purchase photos boxed checked

You are all set
The pics from husband and child will show up in her account if she manages them and they do not set up their own.

The only possible difference is if your family has multi accounts, then you need to invite them too and have the box checked

ok. That makes sense then. I just wanted to make sure that everything was all set and that everyone's MagicBands would be scannable for photos and stuff. Itihnk maybe I got myself a little confused by it all...this is our first experience with the MagicBands and new memory maker stuff. Thanks.

Yeah, now that I've been thinking about it all day, that makes sense. I just wanted to make sure it was all set correctly. First time with all the new stuff in place.
