Ok, I don't know why I never thought of this before-look at a map of the Orlando area before we're flying down some unknown highway 80 miles an hour and frantically trying to figure out where we're going. I have an old Avis map and according to it to get from MCO to US we exit the airport north take 528 west all the way to I4 and exit east to exit 30B-US. Ok, here's my questions: 1) Is 528 also known as the Beeline all the way from the airport to I4? 2) I see 2 tolls on 528, are there any more than 2, does anyone know the cost and do they have attendants at each? 3)How long does it take from MCO to US on an average day?

I posted this on the Transportation board, but only got some help with WDW to MCO. Can all you US experts help me? Thanks!:D

I know 528 has a toll right before you enter and exit the airport. You can also take 528 to Sand Lake Road. Go down Sand Lake Road and take a right onto Universal Blvd. That will take you right to Universal. I haven't taken the Sand Lake Road route to the airport in years, so I don't know what traffic is like.

I live just two blocks north of Universal and travel to and from Cocoa a lot (which is the beeline).

The best way (least traffic) is to go West on the beeline from the airport to John Young Parkway (This takes you through two toll booths, if you want to avoid one you can get off at the Sand Lake exit but you will have to fight more traffic)

Go north on John Young (take a right when you get off the beeline) and go north to Sand lake road, and take a left on it. You'll want to get right fairly fast and then turn right onto the ramp for Kirman (Which is AFTER the sign, not before).

Stay in the left lane on Kirman and go over I-4 and Universal will be on the left fairly soon after you cross over the bridge. (Turn Left on Major Blvd to go to the main entrance)

Going to I-4 on the beeline is easier directions wise, but definitely not the best way. Going all the way to Universal Blvd on Sand Lake will make you face more traffic.

ALternatively you can get off at the Universal/Convention Center exit on the beeline and stay on it to Universal, but it's not quite as fast as the John Young->Sand Lake->Kirkman route
