My kids want to come back this summer- we did Disney when they were 5 and 7 they are now 11 and 13 and it may be our last trip for a while- would like to do age appropriate and a few younger things- any thoughts on which parks- how many days at each- I'm thinking 1 day MK, 1 day AK, and 1 day Epcot- only problem is we'll be there the last week of July or early Auguest-that's how schedules work when they are older with sports and summer camp -thinking about staying at Fort Wilderness Lodge- would like to be close but don't have to be on Monorail- any thoughts, tips from the pros - we may go to Universal too-went there 2 years ago and thye want to go back. Tell me about the fast pass at Disney- don't know how it works!!!

Mk is always a good bet. That's the hard part because I think all 4 parks offer something for that age group. They would love R'N'RC and TOT at the studios. Why not get a hopper and split Epcot and AK into one day.

Universal is great. We do it every trip. My kids are now 17, 16, and 11 but we have been doing Universal for the last 8 years and they love it.

If you are going in the summer you will need to take advantage of fast pass. The park map will show which rides offer fast pass. There will be a podium of sorts near the entrance to the ride. You insert your park ticket and a slip of paper will come out with a time frame on it. If your ticket says 10:15- 11:15 then you can come back any time between that time and use the fast pass line up. You cannot get another fast pass for another ride until the time on the bottom of your ticket has passed, or your fast pass time has expired.

Epcot is BIG! People often underestimate walking times and such. I'd suggest splitting AK and MGM in a day. DBF and I can usually do everything in AK in about 4 hours. Things might change with EE open, but there's always FP. Hope you have a great time! :)

Thanks- how much is the fast pass- is it per ride? Tell me what they'd like at Epcot or the most popular things- been to Ak, MK, and MGM so I know alot about them- what about a good place to stay.

FP is completely free.

Epcot recommendations: your kids will love Test Track, Soarin'; if they like thrill rides they should try Mission Space once :teeth: Our kids are about the same age and love World Showcase as well... they like "visiting" the different countries. A couple of years back the kids bought the WS passports and they went around having CMs stamp them at the different pavilions. The CMs also wrote messages in their home languages.
