Help with Intex Pool

This is our second year with our Intex pool. This year we noticed a small leak in the tube. We attempted to find the leak, but had no luck. We have just been putting air into the ring a couple of times a day, as needed. Well, last night, I forgot and the ring deflated just enough for the water to start running over the edge. We lost about a foot of water. Thank goodness for the neighbors who decided to go outside at 11:30 P.M. They heard the gushing of water. He managed to stop the flow and then came to get us. We have tried to walk around the pool with our ears close to the tube to listen for the leak. We have sprayed bubble mix all around the tube to look for bubbles. Has this happened to anyone else and if so, what did you do. I hate to trash the pool for a small leak. My husband saw some stuff at Wal-mart that truckers use to put in their tires for small leaks. It costs $30 and I hate to invest that kind of money unless we know it will work. I am desperate at this point and would appreciate any advice anyone might have. Thank you so much!

Our first pool lasted 3 seasons. We had to patch it some on the sides but no
real problems. The second pool had a tube leak couldn't be fixed.

We had that problem also last summer. We tried our best to find the leak in the tube but had no success. We had to pump it up a few times a day and before we went to bed at night. The only good thing about is that we had a cold summer and didn't use it much. We threw it away at the end of the season.

We weren't planning to get another one. The DGC are older and we didn't think they would use it. But, we broke down and got another one last week. This is the last one!

Yeah! We found the hole in the tube. I am going to buy a patch kit in the morning and hopefully that will do the trick. Unfortunately, when the water spilled over the edge last night it washed away a lot of the sand so now the pool is a bit lopsided. Not too bad, but it is driving DH crazy. He wants to drain the pool and start over. Uggghhhh! I am trying to talk him out of it and just deal with it the rest of the season. We have well water and it takes us over a week to get all the chemicals adjusted and for the water to heat up.

Can you share what strategy you used to find the leak? We bought a new pool for our kids not even a month ago and our top ring/tube already has a leak somewhere...but we have no clue how to find it. Any tips would be great, as we were hoping for this pool to last at least a few summers for our kids.
