Help with insurance... broken camera

Hi,

My daughter & her family arrived at DW last night. Today she dropped and broke her camera! An expensive DSLR to boot! Shes heartbroken!

She did buy trip insurance! Does anyone have any experience along these lines?

I think they are going to try to buy an inexpensive camera for the trip now because the thought of no pics is unthinkable!

Are you asking if trip insurance will pay for a new camera? I suppose it is possible but I've never had trip insurance that would cover such an expense (trip insurance generally covers actual travel related expenses).

My credit card would cover the damage (assuming it happened within a year of purchase).
