I'm taking my daughter to Universal to experience Harry Potter. We only have one day March 18. Express Tickets do not cover Harry Potter attractions. VIP tour is very expensive but it is not guaranteed to see or ride ALL of Harry Potter. How long are the lines usually during Spring Break? HELP

There are only two rides that get really long lines and Forbidden Journey's really aren't that long anymore. If you watch the wait times board for Gringott's, you should be able to get it in at some point. Make sure you do Ollivander's at Diagon and not at Hosgmeade as there are more showrooms.

We are planning a short trip, as well. From Everything I have read, it sounds like you need to plan to arrive early. If you do have the early entrance ticket, I read to arrive 30 mins early and if you just have regular entry , arrive 60 to 30 mins early to maximize your day. Also, plan to stay late b/c several things I read said the HP sections are not as crowded after 4 pm. Several blogs I rad said that if its open late, 7 pm to 9 pm is a good time to see a lot. Good luck!!

EP does cover Dragon Challenge and Flight of the Hippogriff, so you're not totally bereft of EP benefits.

We have done the VIP tour before and they tailor it to your group. If you want to do everything in HP and the others agree, then you will be able to access all the rides there without a problem.

We also normally go during Spring Break and the lines can get very long. We found that if we stay onsite at one of the hotels for the early entry and have EP, it makes it very easy to access all the HP rides pretty easily within that first hour.

If you want to see all of and only WWOHP in one day, you need a 1-day 2-park ticket since WWOHP is split between the 2 parks and the Hogwarts Express train ride between the WWOHP sections of each park requires a 2-park ticket.

BUT, WWOHP is only about 10-15 % of each park and you will be missing a great many wonderful rides, shows and attractions not in WWOHP.
