So I am going to DLP next monday for 3 nights for my fiancee's birthday, however I have earnt a nice bonus at work this month so I now want to extend the stay by another 2 nights to make it a nice long 5 night break :-), I am just in the middle of trying to change my Eurostar booking, however with regards to the hotel, it is non refundable, booked through travel republic, I have had a look and the same hotel (magic circus) is available for another 2 nights at the same rate, If I just make another booking, is it going to complicate things when checking in? would I just be able to check-in all at the same time?

Thanks in advance.

I wouldnt have thought so. However, I would call/email them and just double check. IMO I would have thought that they will just keep you in the same room and do both check in's at once.

booking the same hotel offsite for another 2 nights with a separate booking reference shouldn't be a problem. Just contact the hotel a few days before you arrive and let them know both reference numbers, so they can hopefully sort you out so you have the same room for all the nights of your stay.

It should be fine but as Elaine says, I would contact the hotel a week or so before (not too early as they don't tend to allocate rooms until a few days before), to let them know both reservation nos etc, and that you would like to stay in the same room.

We did this at the DLH in June, only for whatever reason the DLH seemed unable (or unwilling) to amalgamate our booking - we ended up with no end of issues - including us being locked out of our room as they had checked us out! It was just ridiculous and I've written to DLRP to complain - have yet to hear back though.... :confused3

Hi,
I did a similar thing with the Santa Fe last trip, booked a package with DLP and a 1 night room only with Expedia because we had a late flight in, I rang the hotel a couple of days before to explain what I'd done and it was fine, we got to stay in the same room and had our park tickets at check in, so I can't see it being a problem at the Magic Circus.

Thanks guys, well I booked the extra 2 nights, I did try and call them but couldn't get through for some reason, I also sent them an email but got no reply!

Only thing I have found is that on my new booking for some reason I used my short name (Chris instead of Christopher) whereas on the original 3 days I used my full name (Christopher) everything else is the same, such as card used to make payment etc.

This shouldn't be a problem should it?

I would doubt it. Maybe try calling again tomorrow.

Hi, I shouldn't think it will be a problem. With our trip to the Cheyenne the other week, I had 2 rooms books in my name via Expedia room only and then my sister and I both had Disney packages in our own names for the rest of the stay. As others have said, I phoned the hotel a few days before arrival, gave all the reservation numbers and they were able to amalgamate the bookings (and give us adjoining rooms), no need to check out and in again.

Have a great trip!

Ok thanks everyone, I haven't had chance to call this morning as we are awaiting the early Eurostar! I'm sure I'll just be able to explain when we are there, surely it would be easier for them to let us just stay in the same rooms!

I'm sure if you just let them know at checkin it'll all be fine.

Even Travelodge let us keep the same room when we had 3 booking (first night for three, two second nights for two and one - the second day was a sale so my friend didn't need to stay with us :') )

And it was even their idea, we didn't need to check in again except the person with the room change.

Hope you have a nice trip :)
