my first post(so please bear with me). i just returned from wdw last week and not able to tour the dvc, but did talk to a guide and have been interested in dvc for awhile. i have been on this site, as well as others, doing research ever since i got back. i have called dvc and expecting more info via mail. i do have a couple of questions(for now) that hopefully someone can answer for me. i am wondering, since i plan on visiting dl soon, would i be better off trying to become a dvc member at one of their ques, rather than over the phone? do they offer a better deal or special at dl? what are the terms for financing? can you put down as much as you'd like? i'm sure i'll have more questions later, but i do thank you for any answers /suggestions you may have.

Welcome to the DISBOARD community JACE JACE!!!!!!!

Don't know anything about Disney Land, but I hope you will enjoy all the info about DVC you will be receiving. DVC is great and will change the way you look at vacationing for the rest of your life!

Good Luck with your decision! Mickey Wishes!

There's no real advantage to doing the sale in person. Just go ahead with everything on the phone etc. It'll take less time! ;)

haven't heard of a better deal being offered in DL.

you can finance for 1 to 10 years. the interest rates varies - I don't know the present offers. I think 9% to 11% (might be lower??)

you can put down as little as 10% or 20% or 50% - whatever you choose - but it must be 10% or 20% if you have bad credit.

Welcome.

One thing that comes to mind is reports that people who have talked to Guides in person are given 3-day time limits on some of the prices / discounts. Not sure on the details - anyone? anyone? - but I do remember reading posts from folks whose "3 days were almost up". Over the phone - no time limits that I know of.

thanks for the insight guys! im sure i'll have more questions to hound you with.
