Hi all,

I need some help. I pre-cleaning the oven and set the fire alarm off alarm system.

I can't get the damn thing to shut off. It first time this has ever happen.

Yes I call technical support and not open to Monday.

I have try everything that I can think off.

I am about to cut wires to get shut up.

I can't believe that I can't access the website either. I was not one to put in the alarm system the former owners of the house was.

Simply locate the alarm system and unplug the transformer from the wall outlet. Now open the alarm and disconnect the backup battery. The system is now without any means of power. If it still operates, call an exorcist.

What type of DSC alarm system do you have?
I work for an alarm company - you should be able to silence the alarms at the panel, just need to input your code. There should be a button on the alarm panel marked silence or reset.
Here is the link to the manuals from the DSC Website.

If the panel will not reset or the alarms won't silence, you will probably need a service call from an alarm technician.

Depends. The Alarm System should have a backup battery that it will use even if it looses main power.

Is your alarm system monitored? If so, you definitely need to inform them and put the unit on test before you start messing with anything. Don't want the Fire Dept showing up for a non-emergency.

I have not seen a silance button on the alarm at all. Or a reset button.

I look at electronics panel and I do not know what I am looking at.

On a fire alarm, the bell/siren will sound pulsing. The digital communicator
transmission is delayed for 30 seconds. If the alarm is not acknowledged within the 30 second delay, the communicator will transmit to the monitoring station.

Silence
To silence the bell/siren, press the [#] key. If the alarm is silenced and the smoke detector is not reset, the alarm will resound after 90 seconds.

Reset
To restore the smoke detector(s) to normal, press [∗][7]. If the detector still has smoke in it, the alarm will resound and the sequence described above will repeat. If the detector is clear of smoke, the system will return to normal.

NOTE: If you suspect that the communicator has transmitted and there is no fire condition, call the monitoring station to avoid an unnecessary response

Thank Thank Thank You.

That helps a lot and the sound has stop.

Now if weather outside ever warms up I can put foster son outside to play his drums he got for Christmas. What was I thinking when I bought the drum set. LOL
