Help with DME Times

Can someone give me a good estimate for how long it will take us to get from the airport to our hotel using DME? We are arriving in MCO at about 2:30 PM August 21st on Southwest, and staying at the Pop Century. Trying to iron out last minute ADRs, and don't know if 3 hours is enough time to leave between landing, and getting to hotel.

Allow 2-2.5 hours max, If it's less you'll have time for a nap before dinner.

My average time from landing to the resort via DME is 70 minutes and I use the luggage delivery feature of DME. Others report the same average but I have had longer trips during peak seasons. If your picking up your own bags you need to add extra time.

Personally, when flying I try not to make to many reservations the first day in case of airline delays, weather etc. I never book anything with a cancelation fee and usually don't book anything until dinner !

I would have guessed an hour ... I've used DME 5 times in the last few years

Sixty to 90 minutes from the time you get off of the plane until you reach your resort, with 70 minutes being the average. If you collect your own bags add another 20 minutes or so.

Just don't make an ADR that requires a credit card guarantee, just in case.

Pop is 'usually' the first stop on that route. BUT....that isn't etched in stone. I have gone there once when it was the third stop and it took me 90 mins to get there, from the airport gate!! But the majority of the time it has been an average of 70 mins for me.
If you land, ontime, at 2:30, you should be at POP no later than 4pm. Your bags will arrive up to 4 hrs after you get to POP, and POP is usually somewhat slow when it comes to baggage delivery, so be prepared. Take what you are going to need, right away, in your carryon bags.

I wouldn't make any ADRs for earlier than 7 though. It can take longer than you think to get to a park or other resort.
