Help with dates for spring 2020 trip

Hi all,

We are considering a choice between three weeks in April for our next trip.
Lower crowds are our main priority.

The choice is between:
1) last week of March, first week in April: March 29 - April 5
2) April 5 - April 12
3) April 12 - April 19

Any advice is appreciated. My thought is last week of March beginning of April , we still catch spring break crowds, but April dates has Easter crowds, so not sure what would be best.

It probably will be crowded during most times in the spring. But maybe earlier in the spring would be just slightly cooler. I always say it’s easier to deal with crowds when you’re not hot but probably not too much difference


So if I had to make this choice, I’d pick the week of Easter. We got to meet the Easter bunny and his wife on Easter Sunday. So that’s kind of cool.

We all have our personal time of year biases - mine is Easter week. We've been to WDW during most every season/holiday now and that was the one week I left saying it wasn't worth it (this was Easter week 2017). Just busting at the seems everywhere and one of those trips that didn't seem to go well (probably part bad luck, probably part bad plan, and probably part mega crowds). Plus the resorts were sort of annoyingly expensive and discounts were hard to come by.

Lots of people rave about Easter, just didn't work for us that one week.

The weeks surrounding Easter will be more crowded than the other week, so if you're looking for the lowest crowds of those three, I'd choose the March one. If you could go the week of April 19-26, that would be golden. That is one of the lowest crowd weeks of the year.

thanks for the insight.. i knew Easter week was bad crowd wise. didn't think it would be that bad.
Unfortunately i can't do April 19-26 due to work / other obligations otherwise i would have picked that or the one after without question.

Lol, I guess in fairness to my Easter ‘bashing’ above... in 2017 Easter was the first week of April - so major crossover from a a traditional spring break with school systems that move around to follow Easter. So on some level it’s hard to really define Easter crowds since it can move so drastically year-over-year. But with it being sort of mid-month in 2020, it’ll be after some spring breaks but still in that crowd zone I suspect, to some extent.
