Help with Covid testing info

I'm not trying to start a debate, I can not get a vaccination right now due to health issues. I am scheduled here in the US for a test on Tuesday afternoon for my flight on Friday to HI.
I don't mind getting tested every 48 hours. It's the right thing to do and I have no problems with the requirements. Do I need to do the PCR or rapid test for restaurant requirements? Has anyone been tested in Oahu? I have tried to schedule at CVS and they are all full.

I've added the app and am ready to input all of the information as we get closer. I'm just trying to make sure I stay in compliance while on the island. Right now I think I'm going to the urgent care center a few blocks away and pay for testing every few days. I've been researching like crazy, but there may be better ideas than what my limited knowledge is finding.

I just spoke to a representative from the Safe Travels Program who directed me to the oneoahu.org/safe-access-oahu/#patrons

It looks like at home testing can be a valid source if the following requirements are met. I am going to pick up enough at my local drug store for every 48 hours to get through the trip.

How can a business verify an at-home COVID-19 test?
● For customers, the business should only accept the test if they reasonably believe the test came in the allowed 48 hour timeframe and taken by the individual presenting it. The business should include their method for verifying these tests in their written protocol (a required document under the Safe Access Oahu program). Some methods for verification include, but are not limited to: a screen shot of app with test result for at-home tests that have app components; a receipt for a test of the same brand within the timeframe; a photo of result with time/date visible.

I found my county has free ones that are drive up , check the county page if you csnt get into cvs or walgreens

I would definitely call Aulani/your hotel and verify they will accept that as well. "For customers, the business should only accept the test if they reasonably believe the test came in the allowed 48 hour timeframe and taken by the individual presenting it." I feel like for me, personally, that would be way too risky. All it would take is one person to decide they didn't trust it and then you have no recourse. I'd much prefer to have it done somewhere and know it would be accepted (or wait until there were reports from others that did it that say it was fine).

I only know of one business that has specific guidelines regarding the home test and they require you to bring printed pictures that show the time/date in the pic along with the test result. They need the printed pic in case they are audited by the city. Everyone is still just trying to figure everything out.

I'm not sure if it's only open to Hawaii residents but it's worth a try.

IDK... We are going for our first time soon. We were already planning to try more food trucks and do some in room cooking (DVC).

We will probably just do more of that on principal if they make things a pain ( eg take out is not under the proof rule, but it sounds like they might be enforcing).

I understand Disney has to comply etc... Just suggesting sounds like there are lots of food options.

I'm guessing food can be delivered eh? Instacart or whatever.

Also, if you are traveling with someone who is vaxxed?, I'm sure they may go up to take out counter and bring it to you.

There are lots of CVS locations... Some have a thing called 'community' test lines... ( No doc testing) I looked for next 2 weeks and there weren't any appointments available... Sounded like they have walk up available though!

I called today and was told that they will accept a rapid test with a time/date stamp. So, take the test and take a selfie on your phone so that you can prove the date and you’re good to go! I bought 4 tests yesterday so there will be no room for error. Lol

You go to food trucks and/or go inside to pick up your food to go as well. I’m placing a food order with Target as well so we can cook in the room some.
