Help with Celebrating 2 YR Old Birthday

We decided to take a quick weekend trip for DS 2nd B-day. We have passes and we got a reasonable deal at Staybridge Suites.

What place would you suggest for a b-day dinner in the world? Something not too expensive and keeping in mind that he is terrified of T-Rex and Rainforest?

Also, I thought I would buy a cake at a grocery store and celebrate in the room?

Any other suggestions or ideas?

How about Crystal Palace with Winnie the Pooh? If you tell them there's a birthday when you make your reservations, they'll bring a cupcake for him as well as a card signed by the characters.

If you are trying to do inexpensive I would suggest the plaza. There isn't anything special, but the food is inexpensive and good and you can top off the meal with a great sundae!

Otherwise, go to a breakfast character breakfast. They're more inexpensive than dinner and if you go not long after your son gets up, you won't have to worry about melt downs because he's tired.
