Help With BlackBerry Calendar

Does anyone know why my BlackBerry Pearl calendar wants to delete a large number of my past appointments (some as recent as last week) when I have the setting to keep appointments forever. I'm trying to sync with my Outlook as I always do, and I'm not able to complete it because I can't delete these other entries. Of course that means I can't get the new stuff for the next period of time onto my BlackBerry from my Outlook because it seems like it's accept or reject all or nothing. Ideas?

I don't sync my calendar, but all of my previous appts have been erased too.
At one point I had duplicate birthdays/anniversaries - one was the actual date the other was the day before (or after). I deleted the wrong ones and in turn it took away all of them so now I have none.

I would check two things ... First, check the synch setting in Desktop Manager. There might be a check box there that says to delete past appointments.

Second, check your available memory. It is possible that your memory is close to full and in order to maintain your current and future appointments it needs to delete the old ones.

Failing that, you might try searching the message boards at www.crackberry.com. Those people are a wealth of information when it comes to all things Blackberry.
