Help with avatar please.

I want to take the little guy that's in my signature and make him my avatar, how would I go about doing so? I tried to do it but it said the files to big. I'd like him to still be animated and I'm clueless on how to do it. I can't use that one program because I have a Mac, if anyone could help I'd really appreciate it!

Not sure what you want to do. Do you want the turtle as your avatar? Instead of the little head with the spinning beanie?

The turtle is not animated, that's what's confusing about your post.

Or is it the little guy with the spinning beanie you wanted, and you finally figured it out?
