Help with Air Tran

I've never flown Air Tran before but we were going to take it home from our vacation this year. I've been waiting for them to start posting the flights for August, which I see they just did. However, the day we're coming home, they have no cheap fares, just the two highest ones, with the cheaper being over $300 per person! That's too much. I see the day before we leave and the day after we leave, they have the low internet sale price of $94. Is this normal? What are the chances that eventually they'll have the lower prices for the date I need? I'm a bit limited in what airline I can take as we're flying into Stewart in Newburgh, NY and they don't have a lot of different airlines in and out of that airport.

I'm not sure what would cause a date in August to be that high. There's no holiday or anything, right? I usually always find deals on Airtran a couple months out or even less. You might keep checking and wait. Their sales usually only cover two months or so out.
