help with a transfer question!!

We have 200 BCV points, April UY. However, we only have 10 points remaining in our upcoming 2012 UY. We are planning our next trip in October of 2013, so I will bank those 10 points and borrow from 2014, which will give me 410 for the 2013 trip (210 from 2013 & 200 from 2014).
However, I need more points for the trip we have planned. I want to be able to book BCV in October at the 11 month mark (which would be December of this year).

Questions:

1) Can I do a points transfer in my 2012 UY and then bank the transferred points for 2013 to use for this trip? Or is my only choice to wait until I am in my 2013 UY (which would be April 2013, and too late to get the rooms we want at BCV!!)???

2) Do I have to do a transfer with only BCV points if I want to use them all at 11 months? (Think I know the answer to this, just not sure).


Any other thoughts are appreciated!

Points transferred in can be banked.

Transferred points retain their original home resort and UY month, so you would need BCV points if you want to book at 11 months.

Know what you need to do before you contact MS. Transfered points in the past do not show up on the member website and MS doesn't seem to know what to do with them. Expect to get a manager involved if necessary.

If you are planning an October trip you book in November I think and yes you will need BCV points to book at the 11th month point.

You are correct! That's what I meant...I confused myself!

Thank you all for the info. I am going to start seeking out a transfer once April rolls around, so those points I get transferred are in my 2012 UY so I can use them for the Oct 2013 trip.
