Hello,

I need advice/help. We are going to WDW this December. I plan on doing a bounceback offer and booking for September 2021. I want to participate in the 50th anniversary :) I am afraid that, by the time I get my bounceback offer, the rooms for September will be all booked up. Is this a legit fear? If so, can I book a package now and change it when I get the bounceback? Is it 100% certain I will be able to keep my same reservation (dates, hotel/room category, etc.) I am not very flexible about dates because we are doing a cruise either before or after. Thanks!

I believe you can book a room 18 months in advance but a package 12 months in advance. So you could get the room soon and then upgrade to a package when able.

No, there is no guarantee that if you book a package when they are released that the same resort/room category and dates will be available in the bounce back offer. As with all WDW discounts, only certain resorts/categories are placed in that inventory and, to take advantage of the discount, you have to book whatever is in that inventory. If you definitely want to go, I would book a package once they are released (should be sometime this summer). Then, when you are at WDW, call for the bounceback and, if you like something that is available, book it and then cancel your original reservation.

I would just book what you want as soon as possible if you know you’re going for sure, you've got specific dates you need and you’re comfortable with the price, just in case a discount doesn’t come out for your dates. I wouldn’t worry about the bounceback now. If you can add it great. If not, at least you got what you want, and then keep checking your dates to see if general public discounts become available closer to September.

I believe you can book 500 days out. We are also planning being there for the 50th and have been tracking the days to be ready to book!!

Disney typically doesn't release offers for Sept. until Jan. We've been the last 3 years in Sept. and I usually book it during "Free Dining". We've always landed any resort and room we wanted.
You can always book a packaged reservation for the hotel room you want now for Sept. 2021 and it's only a $200.00 deposit and then cancel it when you book a bounce back offer.
